The Snippets are now organized in the same categories as Tech Notes and New Inside Macintosh.
To remind you constantly that snippets are untested code, the warning file is now found in every directory, all the way down to the bottom. Read it and believe it.
The Snippet index is simply a tab-delimited text dump of part of the database that is used to keep track of them here at Apple. This way you can use whatever tool you like: search it with any word processor, import it into your favorite database program, let On Location look through it, merge it with your Programmer's Online Companion database, sort it, slice it, dice it, etc. The field order is this:
Snippet Title <tab> Description <tab> Category <cr>
The category is also the name of the folder the snippet lives in.
Comments, flames, and ugly rumors should be directed to: Dave Johnson, AppleLink: JOHNSON.DK, at least for the time being...
